Sunday At The Junction Flea

On the second Sunday of each month,
I make plans to go to The Junction Flea which is in a
very neat up-and-coming area in Toronto.
Some people compare it to a new and downsized
version of the Brooklyn Flea and I will be checking
that comparison when I venture on a little trip to NYC
the end of September.  Can't wait.
It was a very hot day that Sunday so instead of
grabbing a cup of coffee, I chose instead an
ice cold glass of lemony iced tea kept from these
glass jars.  Those of you who live in Toronto
can find them at Homesense.
Antique canning jars were everywhere.
Great price for all those new
home decor projects you see all over Pinterest.
 Funky collections were everywhere.
Ohhhhh ... the typewriter was so, so tempting.
It would be so much fun for art projects.
Went back last Sunday, and it was gone.
Moral:
If you see something that your heart
just pounds over .... buy it.
 Great looking young people everywhere
selling lots of vintage clothing.
I felt like I had stepped back into the 40's.
And for those of you who love shabby chic,
there was one large vendor space filled with fun finds.
Visit Tattered and Torn here.
 Signs, judies, suitcases ....
ya da, ya da, ya da.
 Tattoos, scarves, forties clothing ...
the uniform of a cool Flea.
Even artisans were spread throughout the Flea.
Most had stores in the hip areas of Toronto or
were selling on Etsy.
These purses are from a cool store called eleven thirty.

Or Flock Accessories.
Lauren, a very cool artisan, has recently opened her business
and her creations are selling like hotcakes.
Visit Lauren's website here.
Lots of fun accessories not only for yourself,
but also your home.

If you are in the Toronto area on the second Sunday next month,
take a little ride out to the Junction and
see for yourself how quickly Toronto is becoming
the new Brooklyn.
